A.M. Rathnam is a prolific Indian film producer, lyricist, screenwriter, and director, primarily known for his significant contributions to Telugu and Tamil cinema. He began his career as a make-up artist and executive producer, making his debut as an independent producer with the critically acclaimed 'Karthavyam' (1990). Through his production houses, Sri Surya Movies Entertainment and later Shri Sai Raam Creations, he has delivered numerous box office successes, including landmark films like 'Indian', 'Kushi' (Tamil & Telugu), 'Ghilli', 'Sivakasi', 'Arrambam', 'Yennai Arindhaal', 'Vedalam', 'Jawan', and 'Mark Antony'. His career is marked by successful collaborations with prominent directors such as S. Shankar, S. J. Surya, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Atlee, and major stars across South Indian and Hindi cinema.
